WHAT WE DO
Started in 2016 at the University of Washington, WET! aims to address the unique challenges of medical emergencies while rowing.
Mission
To promote the safety of rowers around the world by creating emergency action plans which fit the unique needs of each club, team or university.
KEY COMPONENTS OF OUR PLAN:
Annual EAP training sessions with coaches, staff and athletes
Collaboration with local fire and police departments to optimize planning
Ongoing assessment of safety equipment needed in rowing shells and coaching launches
Partnerships with other rowing programs to promoted best practices
